Here’s a Woodlanders way to display your container plants: a rustic stand of branches and weathered planks. Indulge your creative side with twiggy embellishments.

Class size 10

Level Beginner and above

Student Supply List Tools to bring: power drill and small drill bits, cordless driver, hammer, tape measure,small hand saw, hand held pruning shears, and lopping shears (recommended, not required)

Joanne Nelson is the author of the collection, My Neglected Gods, and the memoir, This Is How We Leave (both from Vine Leaves Press). She also teaches creative writing classes for the continuing education program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Waukesha. Nelson lives in Hartland, Wisconsin, where she develops and leads community programs, maintains a psychotherapy practice, and adjuncts. She holds an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars and an MSSW from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Add the $115 Woodlanders Day Fee for Friday (or $60 Half-Day Fee) to your cart, then select as many Friday workshops as you wish, ensuring that your choices don’t overlap times. Materials fees listed at the end of each workshop description will be added to the shopping cart as you make your selections.

Day fees include: your choice of workshops, lunch, snacks, beverages, and evening activities. Thursday and Sunday registrants are welcome to attend evening events on Friday or Saturday.

Half-day fees include: your choice of morning/afternoon workshops, am/pm snacks, and beverages. Does NOT include lunch, which can be purchased separately.
