Just plan a trip for five or more to historic Mineral Point, reserve accommodations at Shake Rag Alley’s charming guest lodging, and consult with our office staff about the possibilities for a variety of art/craft workshops that can be set up just for your group. It’s fun, relaxing, and a great way to spend quality time with friends, family, or business colleagues.
Whether you want productive brainstorming meetings with business colleagues interspersed with creative or offbeat workshops, or just need bonding time in a beautiful, relaxed setting with close friends or relatives, our staff at Shake Rag Alley can tailor a program to suit your creative needs. It’s a great way to cement and enhance business relationships, or to reestablish warm connections with longtime friends and family.
Feel the stress of your fast-paced life melt away as you break dishes to make a whimsical mosaic bird bath – or hammer copper wire to make a beautiful necklace – or don leather gloves and goggles to learn blacksmithing skills. There are endless possibilities to be creative in Shake Rag Alley workshops. Each day begins on our idyllic 2.5-acre campus with workshops held in our historic and charming buildings. Meals may be enjoyed at one of Mineral Point’s excellent restaurants, along with a peek into the many art galleries featured in this artistic community. The day ends with a peaceful night’s sleep in our unique, historic lodging.
The cost for a customized retreat is very reasonable.
Rates for workshops vary, depending on the types of classes chosen. They range from approximately $50 per person for a three-hour class to $235 for a two-day session.
Winter weekends and weekday reservations year round are almost always workable. Our staff will collaborate with you to design a retreat that is tailored just for your group and their interests.
You will receive a 10% discount on our regular lodging rates at the Coach house, Roland’s Loft, and the Tuckpoint’s spacious 3-room suite. If you don’t need lodging, we’d be pleased to work with you on creating a custom workshop of any length.
The Shake Rag Alley buildings, as well as Alley Stage and outdoor spaces including The Green are also available to rent for your meetings or events. Tents, tables, and other necessaries are also available. We’re happy to provide more information for you!
