Artist:

Carol McKernan was an Art Major at UW-Madison and began the first 25 years of her art journey as a Wedding Photographer.

She then turned her focus toward jewelry.  Between 2008 and 2012, she was a Professional Jewelry Buyer and flew to many shows all across America.  Since 2012, she now buys & sells many types of jewelry including antique, vintage, new, quality costume, artisan, and Native American pieces on her own.  And, she enjoys making jewelry herself.  She has taught jewelry making classes at Grandview Academy and at the Women’s Art Party at Shake Rag Alley.
Some of the jewelry making techniques she has had experience with are:  beading, leatherwork, crocheted wire, fused dichroic glass, beaded embroidery, silver torch work & stone setting, and silver precious metal clay (PMC).
She says it’s artistically satisfying to create your own wearable art…especially when it’s a one-of-a-kind piece!  And she hopes you enjoy the artisan pieces she has made just for you!
