Enjoy the sounds of viola with Katrin Talbot and poetry with Matthew Guenette (and guests!) on our Alley Stage. This free event includes sun-dappled shade, strings, and inspiring voices, perfect for a Sunday afternoon. There will also be chocolate! Walk-ins welcome!

Australian-born Katrin Talbot is assistant principal viola of the Madison Symphony Orchestra and has played chamber music with the Pro Arte Quartet, Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society, the Red Hot Lava Chamber Music Festival, and the Oakwood Chamber Players. She is also a poet, and has eight collections out, including her latest, Wrong Number. and has recently been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes in Poetry.
Matthew Guenette grew up in New Hampshire. He earned an MA in English from the University of New Hampshire and an MFA in creative writing from Southern Illinois University. He is the author of four poetry collections: Doom Scroll (2023), Vasectomania (2017), American Busboy (2011) and Sudden Anthem (2008). He lives in Madison, WI, with his wife, their two children, and a couple of mischievous cats.
