Intro to Forge Welding

Have you already learned basic blacksmithing and now would like to add forge welding? It’s the art and skill of joining two pieces of steel with high heat and hammering. Bob will explain several types of forge welding methods (no Damascus). He will cover temperature, fluxes and scarfs. Once you gain confidence in your forge welding skill, you may proceed to a variety of projects that include this technique. Students must have basic blacksmithing skills and know how to attend the coal forge. Each student will have their own forge.
