Books Unbounded

This workshop will have you gluing, cutting, painting, and tearing up old books to create 3-D art works. We will break all rules set by librarians and school teachers who told you books were to be kept on shelves. This course will expose you to specific techniques, such as making niches, creating pockets, aging and distressing and using transparencies. In this longer format you will have the space to freely develop your own personal narrative with found objects, transforming ordinary pages into something mythical and profound. This process-oriented workshop will have you bravely entering new creative territories. This class is about recycling, reusing, repurposing and reinvigorating your muse.
