Alley Stage Reading Series: “And a Belle’s Merry Reign”

Our third annual Alley Stage Reading Series continues with Chicago playwright Scott Strom’s play-in-progress, “And a Belle’s Merry Reign,” read by Mo Grimm, Judy DeVido, Paula Moon, and Lorena Severson of Mineral Point and Amanda Zasada of Platteville.

The reading will be followed by a talkback session and reception at the Art Cafe patio sponsored by Hook’s Cheese and The Cider Farm. In the event of rain, this event will take place in the Sardeson Studio.

About “And a Belle’s Merry Reign:” Mary and Raine are twins who have switched places so many times that they can no longer remember who is who. When a young woman named Annabelle arrives claiming to be Mary’s daughter, the twins must discover who is the true mother.
