Railroad Spike Tomahawk

In this class you will be forging a railroad spike into a tomahawk. This will involve forging a chisel for cutting and drifting the eye, plus upsetting and heat treating. Students should have had previous skills in blacksmithing. We will be using the gas forge and coal forge for this project. If time allows, you will fit the handle to the tomahawk and stain it.
