Botanical Watercolor

This class is easier than it sounds because you can get away with not having to paint a background! Composition, the history of botanical illustration and examples of a variety of botanical artists will be discussed. You will work from specimens collected from the beautiful gardens at Shake Rag Alley. Basic drawing instruction, as well as the method of tracing and transferring a drawing will be demonstrated. This is one in a series of five classes designed to be taken in sequence or individually.
