Watercolor: Building Form in Nature

Understanding how to build form is essential for composing good paintings. When working in watercolor there are particular challenges to choosing techniques and colors that will make objects look 3-dimensional. This one-day workshop will address color matching, mixing neutrals, layering color with glazes, and mixing on the paper. You will go out in nature or work with photos provided by the instructor to learn how to portray trees, sky, rocks and water. This is one in a series of five classes designed to be taken in sequence or individually.
