Mosaic Sampler

Learn to mosaic with glass, ceramic, stone, shells, beads, buttons, and other found objects to make a mosaic sampler that doesn’t need to be grouted! We will cover basic design, and then how to cut and shape each of the various materials. You will also learn how to use a cement mortar as the adhesive, which can be tooled to look like grout, or just left as-is when you set your pieces of tesserae. Your finished piece will include all of the material options listed above, and be a true sampler of mosaic possibilities. Materials fee includes an 8×10 substrate, plenty of glass, ceramic, stone, shells, beads, buttons, and some found objects to choose from + adhesive and a small palette knife.
