Description
Jenna Rindo, winner of the Council for Wisconsin Writers Lorine Niedecker Poetry Award for five poems published in various journals will read from and discuss her work.
Jenna grew up in Virginia and still misses the mountains though she has lived in Wisconsin 30 years. She worked as a pediatric intensive care nurse in Virginia, Florida and Wisconsin before returning to school for a teaching license and graduate degree in reading. She now teaches English to Arabic, Hmong, Kurdish, Vietnamese and Spanish students at elementary schools in Oshkosh.
“I write poems and essays,” Jenna says, “to better understand the connections between science and the mysteries around faith, as well as all the complications involved in both health and illness.”
