Registration Deadline: Feb 17

Description

In order to continue the crucial conversations that began during our 2020 NEA Big Read of Claudia Rankine’s award-winning “Citizen: An American Lyric,” Shake Rag Alley is hosting a monthly antiracism book club.

Join us via Zoom to discuss How to Be an Antiracist, by Ibram X. Kendhi.

Antiracism is a transformative concept that reorients and reenergizes the conversation about racism—and, even more fundamentally, points us toward liberating new ways of thinking about ourselves and each other. In How to Be an Antiracist, Ibram X. Kendi weaves an electrifying combination of ethics, history, law, and science with his own personal story of awakening to antiracism.
