The Collector

Have you ever been walking in nature and seen something you thought was interesting and/or spoke to you? In this class we will be making a mask to showcase those finds. This art piece can be hung on your wall and added to over the years with all the special pieces that you collect in nature. We will start with discussing ideas and design, and then move on to sculpting the main face forms out of the paper clay. On the second day, after your mask has dried, we will assist you adding materials, character, and your “collections.” We will supply natural materials for you, but we encourage you to bring anything that you would like to add.
