Youth Program: Beginning Blacksmithing

Use forges, hammers, anvils, and other blacksmith’s tools and learn the gas forge. In this introduction to blacksmithing, learn how to cut, bend, and shape hot steel, making a post-hook (every beginner blacksmith’s first project), and several other handy items.

Student Supply List Wear cotton/wool clothing and closed-toe leather shoes. Bring safety glasses if you have them and heat-resistant gloves.
