Knitting 101: Basketweave Scarf

Learn how to cast on, and basic knit and purl stitches. You can go easy (with a garter stitch scarf), or use those two stitches to make a basketweave pattern. All you need is two needles (size 7, 8, or 9), and patience—Christina will bring a variety of yarn. We’ll learn and knit together, and you can keep working to make your project whatever length you like, and finish on your own. Materials fee includes a selection of yarn, and handouts with diagrams and links. Great for anyone 13 & up.
