Kinetic Artist Books: Motion, Fold, & Form

Explore the playful possibilities of kinetic artist books—structures that move, unfold, and transform. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create two dynamic book forms: an origami star book that opens into a sculptural shape, and a pop-up accordion book with surprising dimensional elements. Using drawing, watercolor and mixed media, you’ll bring your books to life with personal imagery and ideas. No prior experience is needed—just a curiosity for paper engineering and storytelling. All materials are provided. Leave with two interactive artist books that fold, pop, and delight! Materials fee includes: book board, papers, watercolor supplies, drawing materials, folders, awls, as well as instructional materials
