Writing Retreat: Don’t Shoot Yourself in the Foot: Submitting Your Book with an Editor’s Eye

Submitting your manuscript can be one of the most intimidating parts of getting your work into the world, in part because publishers’ acquisitions processes are often opaque. In this workshop, writers will participate in guided activities to learn about what agents and publishing houses are commonly looking for. Writers will also have the opportunity to develop their book pitches and their books’ first pages, which can be critical to getting out of the “slush pile.” This workshop is included for Writing Retreat participants.
